Bio

I am a poet and essayist living in Seattle, Washington, with two cats and a love song of a partner. Trained as a Victorianist, I taught English for 18 years before leaving to focus on my writing and to explore antiques.

The world, for me, oscillates between profound burning, the sensual experience, and the awareness of that experience as fleeting. I write to engage with and to fend off preemptive nostalgia, and I am getting better at honoring exquisite moments without needing to hold onto them.

We can find the light in the burning, instead of burning out.
